and private client for a hanging light installation in a house in Nairobi, Kenya. The house consisted architecturally of a mixture of Bauhaus and coastal Swahili influences. In request to incorporate a sculptural element into the minimal architectural style, a series of falling leaves were designed and created. Installed with LED lights in each leaf, they cascaded down a space between two stories. Through a process called fold forming, 7 hand beaten leaves were made from brass sheet metal.
